Our Impact Stories
Part II

Introduction

CLP taught me: Raising Leaders, Shaping Vision and Influencing Society through Christ is what the International Central Gospel Church stands for so at the Central Leadership Program we aim to influence society through Social Impact Projects. Our fellows have made an impact in several communities in Ghana through their projects and their personal projects. These projects are based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and they form part of the all-inclusive training of our fellows. We’re blessed to have development professionals volunteering for the Central Leadership Program as SIP mentors who monitor the progress of our Social Impact Project Groups. The following impact stories are from ongoing projects and we have many more stories of impact to share on our website and on social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter). "As part of our activities this March at the Joyous Trainings & Consult, I held a virtual event 'Love in the Air'.The session was Themed "To Love or Not to Love; my heart broken", a lesson that sought to teach young people how to navigate their love relationships while building on a godly foundation. It was an amazing time with averagely 25 young people in attendance. We interacted and shared ideas on building godly love relationships.BOE Grace Osei moderated the session alongside Amanda Gyasi. It was indeed a refreshing moment for us all."

"CLP has always challenged me to be a change and stand for a change for Africa. This has given me so much hope that I can also contribute to the development of Africa in my little way. With this in mind I encouraged the Youth of Peniel Temple to also seek to stand out to become a change pattern for Ghana and Africa. I also encouraged them to arise and contribute to the development of Africa with the seed of God in them. And I believe very well that they will also discover what they have and use it to contribute to become patterns of change for the Rising of the African continent."

Fellow
Akosua Adutwumwaa Amoah, Cohort 4
ICGC Agape Temple

"I was privileged to join the international women’s day celebration on Joy News. I got the opportunity to be a newscaster for the first time in my life and to my surprise I was very comfortable on set. The ‘all rounded’ nature of training received from CLP had prepared me for this day. This exposure has made me realize the power of media in creating positive influence in society. The media is an advantage to our generation and we must use it well to create the change we want to see in Ghana and Africa."

CLP has opened me up to my environment. CLP has taught me how to stay resilient and be innovative in the face of seemingly stagnant and preferred human culture, refusing to bow down to pressures of conformation. Because of CLP I am able to be a better leader to the others knowing very well my strengths and how to complement those I work with.
