Do you know yourself? Do you know who you are? Do you believe in your capabilities? Are you confident in who you are?
More often, however, when candidates go for interviews, they are asked to introduce themselves. The majority end up saying things like: “I am a graduate … I studied Physics … I completed Central University and so on.” But these do not truly define you. You are not what you do; you are not your achievements. You are the spirit and the soul enclosed in the body.
Sometimes, we evaluate ourselves by what others say about us based on our relationship with them. But hey! There is more to you than what others see and say. If we ourselves haven’t fully come to terms with all that we are and can be. The true you is waiting to be discovered and unearthed. Until you make a deliberate effort to find yourself, a lot about you will remain hidden. This can limit your chances of living a fulfilling life.
True success comes only if one objectively evaluates him or herself – introspection! Introspection is the process of examining our thoughts, feelings, and motives. Introspection leads to self-awareness.
You can create your success because God created you to be successful, which is the ultimate goal of every leader. Your authentic self is with you right now. It waits for you. Genuine happiness and success will be yours when you choose to find out who you are.
How does one discover him or herself? Not through questionnaires but by looking to the One who made him or her and submitting to Him; the creator – God almighty!
So, I double dare you to be more debonair in who you are.
